Plenty of projects going on these days, both locally and across the province. In the Kootenays, we have been working on projects in Fernie and Nelson. In Fernie, an aluminum bridge is going in over Stowe Creek and Nelson just saw the the addition of a new kiosk and boardwalk section in Kokanne Provincial Park.
Even further afield, we have completed a 42 foot bridge for Swan Hills Provincial Park up in the north eastern part of the province.

Lots going on as we work through the snowy conditions.
Coastal Welding is working with the local Conservation Officer Services developing some prototype products for them.
Work is ongoing at Sandvik and Nyrstar, including some underground work at Nyrstar.
Local individuals and busineses are also keeping us busy with marine modifications, aluminum electrical kiosks, and mechanical enclosures.
School District 72 is also utilizing our extensive array of shop talent.

In the shop these days, welders and fabricators are busy working on the internal structural components of a brand-new barge. When complete, it will be used for hauling local equipment. Something to keep in mind for those who may be looking at any marine projects in the future.
We are also working on a tug boat. It was recently purchased as a complete hull with a shallow draught to enable close access to shore. We will be adding a wheelhouse, power, etc. Stay tuned for updates!
Ongoing projects include upgrades and new builds for companies such as Nyrstar and Sandvik.
